Mission:

The American Red Cross is a humanitarian organization, led by volunteers, that provides relief to victims of disasters helps people prevent, prepare for respond to emergencies. It does this through services that are consistent with its Congressional charter andor her the fundamental principles of the International Red Cross movement.

The Cape Cod and Islands chapter of the American Red Cross provides emergency response service and health and safety training to the residents of Cape Cod, Nantucket and Martha's Vineyard. The Red Cross is a critical part of the emergency response network on Cape Cod and the Islands. Our volunteers respond, teach, and care for our community when the need is greatest 7 days a week, 24 hours a day. We are expected to be ready at all times.

Working with other Red Cross Chapters in New England we also collect and supply blood to more than 170 hospitals.
