Non-Profit Support Resources  Survey

Dear Vineyard Non-Profit Leader,

 

In response to the positive feedback from our last two workshops, the Donors Collaborative is pleased to announce we are expanding the support services we offer Vineyard non-profits.

 

As you know, philanthropy on the Vineyard has not kept pace with inflation and, with the dramatic increase in the number of non-profits, there is more competition for a limited supply of funds, volunteers, Board members and managers. We hear from many organizations that they have significant strategic, governance, fundraising or program effectiveness issues that are difficult to resolve without expensive outside assistance. Our expanded support services are designed to help you address these issues at low or no cost. We plan to offer:

 

  1. More workshops, and some more focused. Topics will be targeted in terms of both subject matter and the size/stage of development of the organization, and the workshops will be smaller so you get more attention to your specific situation.  
  2. Consulting services, including strategic planning, organizational needs assessment, marketing, staff development, governance and fundraising. Consultants will be qualified professionals at subsidized rates running between $300 and $400 a day.
  3. Expanded grant writing and research support, including workshops and more free research capability, at our resource center at the Oak Bluffs library.
  4. Expanded online resources, including information and links to articles and organizations that can answer your questions and help you solve problems.

If you are not sure what you need, or would like to have a conversation about your specific situation, our Board has colleagues with broad experience in non-profit management who will be glad to help you assess your needs by phone or in person.  Just check the “Please have someone call me” box in survey question 5.
