VIP is a partnership of individuals with disabilities, their family members, and friends working to: promote social
activities, support independent living situations, encourage accessibility in the community, and advocate for individuals with developmental disabilities and their families..

Major Programs:

Founded in 1983 as the Martha's Vineyard Special Parents Association (we changed our name in 2007), VIP is a volunteer-operated nonprofit corporation, working to support our neighbors as they become more independent and at home in the Vineyard community. VIP is a membership organization which meets every other month. The work we do is performed by volunteer committees and individuals. We always welcome new members, donors, and volunteers.
