community hospital accredited
by the Joint Commission on Accreditation of

The Safe Haven Project
Founded 1994
The Safe Haven Project Inc was created
ten
years ago to deliver services to children living
with HIV and AIDS. In
addition, Safe Haven hosts annual camp
experience on Martha’s Vineyard
and in Maryland for these children. Teens from
across the US volunteer
their time as counselors and this outreach is
fostering an exciting
interest in service by these young people. Safe
Haven also hosts
“SPEAKOUT” a traveling speaking presentation for
schools and
conferences in which information on HIV, AIDS,
prevention and service
are incorporated into a well rounded approach to
the pandemic. There is
no cost for children to be involved with Safe
Haven. All funds are
raised at the grass roots level and are applied
to direct service.
