Mission: 
A community based organization dedicated to reducing the incidence of tick borne illness. The mission of Martha's Vineyard Lyme Disease Association is to provide increased awareness efforts, education, and prevention strategies and support reserach efforts for Lyme Disease and tick borne illness.

Major Programs: 
MVLDA, Inc. expands opportunities for increased awareness of
the risks of tick borne disease through distribution of information and materials to the Island community. Education efforts extend to school programs, public information events and information exchanges between research, medical and educational professionals working to reduce the effects of tick borne illness. MVLDA, Inc. serves to coordinate prevention
strategies for individuals and homeowners in an effort to provide a comprehensive community based initiative designed to reach a broad cultural and socioeconomic base.
