Mission:

Garden Gate provides Island children with a richly unique learning environment in which creativity, self-awareness and self-expression, and an appreciation for community are the priorities.

Major Programs:

Garden Gate offers full and half day preschool for children ages 2-5.  Our educational programming is inspired by the work in the preschools of Reggio Emilia, Italy and is based on the image of children as active and eager explorers, capable of studying, questioning and understanding the world around them.  Curriculum meets or exceeds the Massachusetts Department of Education's Guidelines for Preschool Learning Experiences, ensuring that children are well prepared for Kindergarten.

Our ART for EDUCATION program brings professional artists, musicians, dancers, etc. into the classroom to work directly with the children in order to give children a number of creative languages through which to express their  experience and understanding.  Through this dynamic
process, children grow in knowledge and gain insight.
