Engage Your Board to Harness their Potential

(This workshop also covers best practices for Succession Planning)

with Susan Meier, BoardSource Senior Governance Consultant

Is your board underutilized, are you trying to get them more engaged?   Are they spending most of their meetings listening to long  reports, attending to routine tasks, and focusing on minor issues? On October 29th, we will explore how highly effective boards move beyond that, get everyone contributing and address issues of importance by engaging in strategic and generative work. You'll learn how to more effectively engage your board in work that will truly impact your mission.

Join us for this interactive session to:

  • Learn useful tools, tips and practices of exceptional boards and how to integrate them with your own.
  • Increase your board’s engagement by introducing strategic and generative thinking in your boardroom.
  • Using succession planning as an example, increase your board’s engagement by identifying the most important issues and addressing them with strategic and generative thinking.
  • Learn some succession planning basics and best practices.
This workshop is designed for Board Chairs, Board Officers, Governance Committees, Board Members, Executive Directors, Development Directors and anyone else who wishes the Board was more engaged.
